Optiseller, a Stirling-based e-commerce firm, has appointed Richard Falconer as chief operating officer. He joins from digital marketing firm Yard, where he was managing director for more than four years.
Mr Falconer is experienced in search engine optimisation and has a track record in working with major brand SEO campaigns.
He is part of a recent recruitment drive by Optiseller which has seen business double in size in the last six months as the Covid-19 pandemic continues to force all businesses to focus on online sales.
Headcount has grown by 20 since the beginning of the year, taking the total number of employees to more than 50, with ongoing efforts to fill another 20 openings.
Optiseller has received a £43,000 grant from Innovate UK which will be used to develop a first-of-its-kind automated platform to fast-track online retailers onto the eBay marketplace.
The aim is to automate the process of onboarding a retailer onto eBay, reducing the time it takes from 10-12 weeks to four weeks, and also slashing the costs.
