As many of you probably heard during the season, Van Gundy was working in the broadcast booth calling NBA games, and he was great at it. So many times, I heard Van Gundy provide stellar insight into what’s unfolding during the game. He was often calling out what the teams were doing before it happened and always describing how one side could be the other’s schematic technique.

Those insights and Van Gundy’s overall experience calling games for some of the NBA’s most innovative teams got me thinking. What kind of changes will Stan Van Gundy make to his scheme after seeing how basketball evolved?
